Sarah Drummond is a blogger, inlet dweller and author. Salt Story (2013) is a memoir of her time deck handing on the south coast of Western Australia. The Sound is her first novel novel and based on the true story of the Aboriginal women and sealing crews who sailed from Van Diemen's Land to Western Australia in the 1820s. Both books are published by Fremantle Press. Sarah also has essays and short fiction published in Purple Prose, Shadow Plays: an anthology of speculative fiction, Short Stories Australia, Creative Nonfiction, indigo journal, Best Australian Essays 2010, LINQ Journal, Overland and Kurungabaa.
